Easypaisa App now allows everyone to register for Easypaisa Account regardless of their mobile operator

With the latest version of the Easypaisa Android App, users of other mobile operators can now open and access the most popular branchless banking service that had been up till now limited to Telenor users only. Easypaisa is one of the most popular financial applications in Pakistan and is one of the fastest growing branchless banking applications with more than 200,000 installs in less than 6 months.

Opening a new Easypaisa Account through the Easypaisa App is a simple process where the customers register with their mobile number and CNIC, upon which a One-Time Password (OTP) is sent to their phone and fed into the app automatically. Customers then enter the desired PIN and use the same to login to the application.

Other new features include, PIN creation from the App eliminating the use of a mobile number and finding an Easypaisa outlet, through the Easypaisa store locator feature in the App. Other popular features are Money transfer to any CNIC, Bank Account or Easypaisa Account. You can also pay your utility bill payments and buy any operator’s airtime effortlessly.

The Easypaisa App is very cost effective; sending money to CNIC holders within Pakistan from the app is up to 23% cheaper compared to the market. Moreover, transferring money to other Easypaisa Account holders through the application is free for the first ten transactions every month. A new Easypaisa Account holder using Easyload via the application on their own mobile number will also receive a tax deduction of up to PKR 50 per month as a bonus.

Muhammad Yahya Khan, Head of Easypaisa, while commenting on the new development said, ‘Given the trust and reliability that Easypaisa has earned during its remarkable 7-year journey, everyone wanted to use Easypaisa to make financial transactions but were restricted due to their mobile operators.  With the Easypaisa App, our objective is to accelerate digital financial inclusion in the country through multi-channel and user-friendly interfaces.’

Easypaisa offers its customers a choice between USSD, phone banking, ATM, SMS service and Easypaisa App. You can download the Android App at the following link here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pk.com.telenor.phoenix&hl=en
