The 3rd Convocation ceremony of COTHM (College of Tourism and Hotel Management) was held on Sunday 17th of September 2017 at FTC auditorium, Karachi.
COTHM Karachi Witnessed it 3rd Annual Convocation with the Theme “Take Flight”, 100 Graduates ready serve the hospitality industry around the world.
COTHM Karachi came up with a brilliant idea to make the Convocation theme based. The theme was “Take Flight”, the golden plane was used as a metaphor to symbolize soaring to newer heights.
The Convocation started off with a welcome address, Director of COTHM, Mr.Sabir Ahmed praised the efforts of the students and faculty while emphasizing the role of education in the development of Pakistan. He thanked the Chief Guest for his gracious presence Mr.Ahsan Ullah Khan, who is Chairman Skills Development Karachi , was the Chief Guest of the Convocation while Mr.AhmedShafiq ( CEO COTHM Pakistan and Dubai), Dr.Masroor Ahmed Shaikh ( Chairman Sindh Board of Technical Education ), Dr.ShahanaUoojKazmi (Rector at Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education ),Mr.Kaukab Iqbal (Chairman Consumer Association of Pakistan ) &Mr.AsifJaved (Executive Director COTHM Islamabad) were also present on the occasion.
The ceremony was marked with deep appreciation from teachers, parents, and friends, high motivation by the Director of COTHM Karachi, catching the eye of the corporate sector, patronage by the Chair Person and best wishes for the future.
A total of 100 graduates have conferred certificates regarding the discipline related to hospitality.

The convocation ended with a twist where graduand threw paper planes which wrapped up the theme of the convocation- “Take Flight”, where graduand continue to soar high in the industry like the paper planes do.
