Legendary Indian actress Shabana Azmi met an accident on Saturday, sustaining critical injuries. She has been shifted to a hospital. Bollywood actress’s car got hit by a truck. Her car was destroyed, as the actor got severe injuries.
The actress was traveling from Mumbai to Pune on Mumbai-Pune Expressway, where she got into an accident. Immediately after the accident, locals rushed to help, and carried her out from the car. The images, which surfaced shortly after the accidents are displaying a disturbing picture.
Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi’s husband was also accompanying the actress, fortunately, the lyricist/screenwriter, Javed Akhtar is fine. The actual reason of the accident is still unknown, also another woman is also injured.

“Shabana Azmi and her driver were injured in an accident near Khalapur on Pune-Mumbai Expressway. While they were driving from Pune to Mumbai their vehicle hit by a truck on the expressway. Javed Akhtar was also present in the car who is safe. Both the injured have been shifted to MGM Hospital.” Said the local police in their statement.
The couple recently celebrated the veteran, Javed Akhtar’s 75th birthday and arranged a ceremony which was attended by several notable Bollywood stars.
The 69 year old, Shabana Azmi is a legendary name in Bollywood, she starred in some of the most iconic movies of the B-town.
