Galaxy Fold 2 to feature with an under-display selfie camera?

We’ve already seen two flagship foldable phones from Samsung being released as the company has put out on offer both the Galaxy Fold as well as the Galaxy Z Flip. We have also been hearing a bit about the successor to last year’s Galaxy Fold – and now that the Galaxy Z Flip is in the frame and is released, a bit more focus is placed on what the Galaxy Fold 2 might offer.

Indeed the latest speculation surrounding the Galaxy Fold 2 suggests that the device might arrive with an under-the-screen selfie camera. It is also reported that the phone might end up arriving with an ultra-thin glass as well – however, this would be entirely dependent on whether supply challenges will be met or not.

With respect to the release date that Samsung will adopt for this upcoming foldable device – we’re still pretty much in the dark. Some outlets have said that the Galaxy Fold 2 will arrive in Q3 of this year, while others have claimed that the phone will actually end up being launched in July.

It is rumored that the phone will feature with a 7.7-inch display. If this does indeed turn out to be true, then it would represent a panel slightly larger than what the Galaxy Fold’s 7.3-inch display had to offer. It is tipped though that the successor to the Galaxy Fold will actually arrive with the same price tag.

In any case though, regardless of how the Galaxy Fold 2 will shape up, the Galaxy Z Flip certainly has set the bar quite high as far as the company’s foldable phones are concerned for this year. Let’s see whether the Galaxy Fold 2 can meet expectation and improve on what the Galaxy Z Flip has to offer.
