Honor 8X, 8X Max launch set for the 5th of Sept

The Huawei Honor 8X lineup is finally about to be launched. After much speculation, there is official news that the lineup is set to launch on the 5th of September, in the company’s home country of China. Earlier this week, we also caught a glimpse of the Honor 8X, after it was spotted out in a particular report.

Now that the launch is so close, we know a little bit about the phones. The smartphones are expected to come with a ‘waterdrop’ display notch and while there are seemingly quite a few details that will catch the eye, the key details seem to range from dual rear cameras, to large displays and bigger batteries. The Honor 8X is a follow up of the Honor 7X, which was launched in October, last year.

Honor most recently posted a teaser image on a Chinese micro blogging site, however, this is as much detail as there is surrounding the phones. The company did not reveal the specs of the Honor 8X or the 8X Max. And if you’re pondering over the pricing details, well then we’re pretty much in dark with respect to that aspect aswell. However, while very little is known about the phones till now, it is expected that Honor will reveal all the information at an official launch event. While the teaser posted did not reveal much, it was revealed thought that the smartphones will ‘surpass limits’, and will be ‘beyond imagination’.

As per rumors surrounding the phones, the Honor 8X will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, and will sport a huge 7.12 inch full-HD+ (1080×2244 pixels) TFT display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. Inside it is expected that we’ll have an octa core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, coming along with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage, with the option of expandable storage via a microSD card. The processor is expected to be the latest kirin 710, or either one of snapdragon 636 or snapdragon 660.

It is expected that the Honor 8X will come with a dual rear camera setup, with a 16 megapixel primary senor, adding to a 2 megapixel depth sensor. And come to think about the camera on the front, it is expected to be an 8 megapixel one.Another good thing to hear is that the phone will indeed be coming with a headphone jack – a commodity which all of a sudden seems like a necessity. Last but not least, it is expected that in order to fuel the huge screen on the device and other premium features, the phone will sport a massive 4900mAh battery, so expect this phone to be nothing short of an absolute powerhouse.
