HUAWEI TO INTEGRATE HARMONYOS IN OUR LIVES THROUGH SMARTWATCHES AND LAPTOPS

All of what you’re about to read is going to sound a whole lot like Apple, but that’s exactly what a company does when it has to cut ties with Android, the most open operating system in the world. A company starts to build its own ecosystem and that’s the plan for Huawei for the next years until and only if the Android ban is sorted out. Outside of China, however, there is negligible existence of such products and that’s what Huawei aims at. Huawei is planning to bring the HarmonyOS to smartwatches and laptops and TVs so that it can build its customers an entire ecosystem, just like Apple. This will provide seamless transformation from one device to another and Huawei states that since it uses a micro kernel at its core, customers shouldn’t be worried about security when using the Internet of things (IoT) hardware. Huawei aims to include HarmonyOS in all of the tech present in a lounge: from smart speakers to TVs. Huawei has integrated AI in its new operating system very well making it even more personal to the demands of its users. Moreover, Huawei has made porting of apps from other operating systems like Android easier with its own Huawei Ark compiler that translates apps so that they can used on the HarmonyOS.

HarmonyOS has been dubbed as the operating system of the future since it is open source and its makers believe that it will reach its ultimate maturity in 5 to 10 years time. By that time, it will be able to provide a communicated ecosystem between all devices that it runs on and will be the true competitor to Android and IOS, that Huawei envisions.
