Interesting OPPO Patents

The ASUS ZenFone 6 is certainly a flagship phone that one must consider if there is a budget constraint. Not only does the device feature with all the specs that you would expect from a flagship device – but it also features with revamped ZenUI – which has made the headlines for all the good reasons, as it gives a near-stock experience while offering some useful customization options. However, the highlight of the device is without doubt the motorized dual cameras which have the capabilities to rotate forward and also double as front-facing cameras. Interesting OPPO Patents.

Ever since the device and the design have made their way into the market, we imagined that more and more manufacturers would copy the design – this hasn’t been the case though.

However, now, a new report has just revealed that we might now get a phone with a design of similar sorts – from OPPO! Indeed, patent diagrams have gone on to show that the Chinese manufacturer might as well be in the process of developing a phone that will feature with flip rear cameras.

The diagram with regards to the patent shows that the device feature with no notch, no punch hole and features with quite thin bezels. To the extent that even the dual rear cameras are shown to be arranged in the same manner as the Zenfone 6 – as an LED flash separates both the sensors.

Another point of notice is that there isn’t a tear fingerprint scanner – this suggesting that the device will probably feature with an In-display fingerprint scanner. This would be a differentiating factor between the Zenfone 6 and this phone from Oppo, as the Zenfone 6 does not come with an In-display fingerprint scanner.

As of now though, nothing is confirmed and only time will tell whether or not OPPO actually launches a commercial product based on this design or not. There indeed have been many cases in the past where manufacturers have filed patents for designs and technologies but they haven’t always been used, so all the rumors currently should be taken with a pinch of salt.
