Uber to introduce flying taxis by 2020

Refresh the childhood memories when after watching science fiction movies and cartons show we thought and talked about the flying cars in future. Now, it seems that the future is near as Uber and NASA have partnered up to launch flying cars by 2020.

It can be turn out into realty within next two years as Uber is the ride-hailing service giant and it can take this step for sure. According to Uber it has made a deal with NASA and both companies will make a new traffic control system for “flying cars”.

The launch expected in Los Angeles by 2020. Upcoming flying cars will take off and land in a vertical manner. The company has a plan to complete “tens of thousands” rides/flights on daily basis within a few years after that.

After getting huge success on the roads, Uber is getting ready to triumph over the Sky with the help of the Government.

NASA will completely assist in making new traffic control system which will let Uber to uphold low altitude flights. Might be Uber will place traffic signals for flying cars.

The ride hailing service provider Uber has the “vision to allow customers in the future to push a button and get a high-speed flight in and around cities”.

As we know, 2028 Olympics are to be hosted by Los Angeles and this also the reason why Uber wants to make its flying cars regularly available by 2028 because the company wants to ride the Olympic guests in their flying cars. This is quite interesting.

According to Uber it will be a great solution to avoid heavy traffic and reach your destination in minimum time and price.

Jeff Holden, Uber Chief Product Officer had to say on this.

“Technology will allow LA residents to literally fly over the city’s historically bad traffic”

Uber plans to make Uber pads at the summit of most of the buildings in Los Angeles. Riders will be capable to call a flying taxi on any Uber pad and depart to any other Uber pad. So it seems that, the Uber flying taxi will work from pad to pad and expectantly, it will also be competent to operate private helipads.

Let see how and when Uber will launch its flying car service after LA. However, firstly they have to prove the successful launch of flying car with powerful traffic control system in Los Angeles
