Motorola P50 to launch this week

It was hinted by none other than Motorola China that the company could go on to launch the Motorola P50 smartphone during the recent Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 tech trade show which was held in between the 25th and 28th June in China. However, as it turned out, this wasn’t to be the case. Though today, Chang Cheng, who happens to be the VP of the Lenovo Group posted a poster on Weibo which went on to confirm some of its keys specs. It was also revealed by the VP that the device will indeed go official in China this week.

The specs

The poster reveals that the device will house a 21:9 super-wide display. The device features with a 6.34-inch display which goes on to produce a full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels. It also carries the support for DCI-P3 color gamut. A punch hole is also present on the top-left of the device, which houses a 25MP selfie camera which comes with features such as HDR, NPU smart recognition as well as AI smart shoot.

The 3D glass rear of the phone is curved on all the four sides. Also, the Moto logo which is placed at the rear of the device happens to be embedded with a fingerprint reader. The dual camera setup, which is assisted with the LED flash, has an OIS enabled 48MP main lens with f/1.75 aperture with 1.6 micron pixel size. It has the capabilities to offer stuff like night mode scene, intelligent scene recognition, as well as 4K video shooting. Amongst the other features of the device include stuff such as Moto gestures, Dolby sound, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C and 128 gigs of internal storage. The phone will be available in both brown as well as blue in China.
