No Kirin Chipsets For The Mate 40 Outside That Of China

Just a few months later we will see the Huawei Mate 40 series make its way into the market. Considering the fact that Huawei has made a habit of introducing new technologies within its Mate series whenever it launches it every year – which of course includes the Kirin flagship processor, the Mate line is one to look forward to. And now, a new report is actually suggesting that the Chinese company might in fact be adopting a strategy similar to that of Samsung as the launch for its upcoming flagships gets closer.

In accordance with what a recent leaker has had to say, the Mate 40 series will in fact be powered by the Kirin 1000 processor which may only in fact be exclusive to that of China. There is the suggestion that Huawei will be looking to follow the same suite as Samsung as it will launch its upcoming flagship phones using dual chips in its devices – no thanks of course to the recent ban imposed by the US government which restricts the company from getting new HiSilicon chipsets from its suppliers.

So which chipset will actually be used? Well, it has been claimed that the processor which is likely to be integrated within the flagship phones in other markets will likely be from MediaTek. While it hasn’t exactly been specified as to what processor this might be, the Dimensity 1000+ seems like a rather decent candidate and hence the best bet unless MediaTek goes on to launch an even more powerful processor before the launch of the Mate 40 series eventually takes place.

It has also been mentioned that Huawei may buy Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 Plus processor. This is not at all surprising considering the fact that there have been recent reports popping up suggesting that Qualcomm might have been granted a license to sell to the Chinese company. But since nothing at all is yet confirmed, we can only wait and see as to what Huawei has up its sleeve.
