PLAYERS TO BID FAREWELL AFTER WORLD CUP

The warm up stages is up and running in England for the ICC World Cup and there has already been quite a few surprising with Pakistan, India and England losing their warm up matches. Undeniably, this world cup would be a great experience for the upcoming generation of players getting their early taste of professional cricket at the biggest stage. However, at the same time there would be players that have grown with the game and have had their experiences of this stage and would be hanging their bats and balls after the competition.

PAKISTAN:

For Pakistan, it is the time where the young have taken over the side with very few players that have aged quite well and have shown the young talent the way to make the nation proud. Among them are Shoaib Malik and Muhammad Hafeez who have had their fare share of cricketing memories and this would be their final world cup as reports suggests. Off to the young lads then!

INDIA:

Similar to Pakistan, India also hosts a relatively young side with MS Dhoni being the most experienced among them all and would be having his last matches as he too plans for retirement after the world cup, one thing is for sure that he has left the side in safe hands!

SOUTH AFRICA:

South Africa would definitely be going into a transition stage after the world cup with quite a few of its players planning on their post cricketing lives. The list includes Dale Steyn ,Faf du Plessis, JP Duminy and Imran Tahir.

WEST INDIES:

One of the games greatest players, Chris Gayle who brought to us, some amazing and thrill-packed performances in his unique style of throwing bowls outside the grounds and he will be one who will be greatly missed. He has 10,151 runs from 289 matches and holds a number of records due to his explosive batting abilities. Unfortunately, this would be the last of what we see from him at the international cricket level.

NEW ZEALAND:

Another player with loads of experience and great batting moments is Ross Taylor who has crossed the 15K international runs, which is evidence of what a great player he is. He will be playing his last World Cup.

SRI LANKA:

One player that we definitely wont be forgetting is Lasith Malinga. From his unique hairstyle to his peculiar bowling action, he is an icon and a legend of Cricket. Someone make him a statue. That is the least of what he deserves.

BANGLADESH:

Mashrafe Murtaza is to part ways with International cricket as well. He has been a great personality and a leader for the Bangladesh team.

With all these big names to be playing their last matches, lets tune in and watch them take the World Cup by storm!
