SALMAN TASEER SON AATISH LOSES INDIAN CITIZENSHIP OVER PAKISTANI ORIGIN ISSUES

Salman Taseer son, Aatish Taseer, who is a New York based author and a journalist stated Modi as being ‘India’s Divider in Chief’. This wasn’t received well by the Indian government who has already been cracking down naysayers of the government, all the while promoting the government through Bollywood and various measures. The argument regarding Aatish and the Ministry was as follows:

Mr. Aatish Ali Taseer, while submitting his PIO application, concealed the fact that his late father was of Pakistani origin.

Mr. Taseer was given the opportunity to submit his reply/objections regarding his PIO/OCI cards, but he failed to dispute the notice

Thus, Mr. Aatish Ali Taseer becomes ineligible to hold an OCI card, as per the Citizenship Act, 1955. He has clearly not complied with very basic requirements and hidden information.

Aatish was quick to dismiss such claims and gave a photo evidence making his claim

This is untrue. Here is the Consul General’s acknowledgment of my reply. I was given not the full 21 days, but rather 24 hours to reply. I’ve heard nothing from the ministry since.

AatishTaseer is the son of Salman Taseer, gunned down in 2011 and Tavleen Singh, an Indian journalist. A few months ago, Aatish wrote a cover story for the Times in which he was quite straightforward in remarking the Prime Minister of India and thereafter was stripped off his nationality on the basis of having Pakistani origin.
