SAMSUNG TO REPLACE YOUR FOLD SCREEN ONE-TIME FOR $149

Samsung has just had a retribution with the revival of the original Fold after its disastrous birth into the new world with complaints from all across social media. There were multiple faults in the design that caused the folding mechanism to not work properly, breaking the display in the process and it was probably the biggest failure for Samsung after the Note 7 battery disaster. Well, that was the result of rushing the product to market and now Samsung has finally revised the Fold and brought it to market with a few tweaks here and there with which it promises more durability and for a $2000 device we should be expecting the same.

Now that it has been a few months and people have been largely satisfied with the new changes, with no complaints taking the front pages, it seems like Samsung might have gotten away with another one of their failures. That could possibly be because of the constant delay in the release of the Mate X, Samsung’s direct competitor. They are taking all the time they can to produce a device that can pass all the tests in the first time. However, with their recent Android troubles it could be very convincing few months for the Fold with no competitor as of now.

Samsung has added an insurance policy for the breakage of the Fold’s display and would be changing the display once for $149. This is a bargain considering it will be time until we get second hand displays in the market from other companies and specialized individuals capable of changing the screens. It is a good initiative and could further in the way of rebuilding the trust that Samsung might have had affected with the initial failure of the Fold.
