The Galaxy M40 sees an improvement on its facial recognition technology

The Samsung Galaxy M40 has recently gotten a new firmware update – as a result of which certain features have been upgraded. The update comes just a month after the device was launched, however, it has been coming and so hasn’t at all been surprising. And in case you have forgotten about the phone – it features with a punch-hole camera along with triple rear cameras.

While there have been a number of improvements, the major improvement with the new update comes in for the camera and the facial recognition software. The update also goes on to deliver the June 1 security patch along with the usual stability improvements and bug fixes.

Considering the fact that the device is still relatively new, the market is not full of the M40s. However, if you do happen to own one, you can go over the phone’s software update menu and check whether or not the M405FDDU1ASG2 firmware is available. If it is, then your device will be eligible to download and will be eligible for the upgrades – most significantly of which comes with regards to facial recognition.

The update is quite a bulky one though. Featuring with a size of 378.40MB, make sure you’re on Wifi while you’re downloading it. Also, if the update is yet to hit your phone, there is little to worry as the rollout may be in batches.
