The Government of Pakistan has announced the prices for the housing units of their Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme

So the government of Pakistan have announced the official prices which will be fixed for the housing project which is known as the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme (NPHS)

They prices of the housing units according to media reports are as follows

  1. Rs. 16.5 lacs to 17.5 lacs for the 3 Marla houses
  2. Rs 21 lacs to 23 lacs for the 5 Marla houses

So far no details regarding the construction of the 10 Marla houses have been provided to the relative media agencies as according to some rumors the government is planning to not consider the 10 Marla houses in their scheme. Moreover, the mentioned houses will be allocated to the applicants of the scheme through a lucky draw. It has been revealed that the Punjab Task Force have approved the house rates for the project. Furthermore, these houses will be created in different cities all over Pakistan with the help being provided by public and private partnerships. Media gave reported that the PM of Pakistan will soon inaugurate the construction of 25000 housing units in the cities of Lahore and Islamabad.

Earlier this year, an Egyptian Billionare namely NagubSawiris has showed interest in investing in 100,000 units of the (NPHS) project which is being conducted under the supervision of the Prime Minister Pakistan, Imran Khan. Moreover, it is no hidden fact that such a project will require investments from the private sector as well but  a better approach would be that the government should simply regulate the whole project while the private sector can handle the construction oriented work.
