The Warp Charge 30 wireless charger has a design flaw

The OnePlus 8 Pro makes history as it is the company’s first ever smartphone to feature with wireless charging and it also comes with the company’s first wireless charger. The OnePlus Warp charge 30 wireless charger features with a vertically standing design which means that your phone is propped up while it is being charged.

The charger has the capabilities to charge the device from 0 to 50 percent in just 29 minutes. It also features with the support for other devices that have Qi/EPP compatibility – charging such up to 10W. Unfortunately though, this wireless charger, while being impressive, comes with a huge design flaw.

The Chinese manufacturer has designed the charger in such a manner thereby which the cable connects the charger to the adapter is not removable. This refers to the fact that you cannot detach the adapter from the rest of the body.

Of course you might be wondering as to why there would be a need for such in the first place – but if you need to pass the cable through the cable hole (which in most cases is needed), you won’t be able to do so. Indeed the adapter happens to be a bit too big to pass through, and so, your attempt at cable management just went out the window. For a company that takes great pride in its design with all the colors and stuff – this design was clearly not thought through.

In any case though, the charger features with a built-in fan while it also features with a customizable bedtime mode which charges your phone at 10W rather than the 30W. Not only this as the charger also features with other cool stuff such as foreign object detection, overheating protection, over current protection as well as overvoltage protection.
