XIAOMI MI9 ANNOUNCED: READY TO TAKE ON THE BIG DOGS WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK

Xiaomi MI9 has been rumoured for quite a while now but no one had any idea of what the price would end up being. The other specifications being correctly leaked, and now with the price known as well, it really makes for a jaw-dropping of an introduction of Xiaomi’s part. They sure did a great job of packing this much punch, and to make it all cost as less as possible.

So, lets start of with the specifications: A Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB of expandable storage, and a 3,300mAh battery. You’ve also got a 6.39-inch full HD+ AMOLED screen (with a waterdrop notch and Gorilla Glass 6), hosting an in-display fingerprint sensor. It’s pretty clear that every flagship of 2019 is going to have almost the same specs with some exceptions. The Snapdragon 855 is Snapdragon’s 2019 elite smartphone processor with all the features packed to make it through 2019 without needing even a slight upgrade. The RAM size is going to vary as companies have started to use 10 and 12 GB RAMs also. However, no matter what phone is introduced after this, Xiaomi MI9’s price is going to make it extremely difficult for buyers to select other devices. Are you ready to know the price of this monster? $446! Yes, you read that right, this is for the base model which packs 6/128GB while for $45 more, you can get the 8GB/128GB variant.  While there is no Mi 9 Pro in the works, the brand is preparing a Transparent Edition with decorative parts on the back (much like the MI8 Explorer Edition), offering 12GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage for 3,999 yuan (~$595).

Other specs include the triple camera setup at the rear with an obvious inclusion of the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor. Selfies are handled by a 20MP camera (f/2.0, 0.9-micron pixels), complete with a software-driven portrait mode.Xiaomi’s earlier teases revealed the phone’s glass design last week, and those “holographic” color schemes are indeed available on the finished product as you’d expect. The company says it’s using a new process to create the back, spraying a “very fine mist” onto the glass in order to change the way the light is refracted off the device. Xiaomi has been very generous in the accessories department as well, although nothing is included as part of the price you pay for the phone, the prices of the extra ones (mainly charging adapters) are cheaper than the competition. The 20-watt wireless charging pad will be available for 99 yuan (~$14). But you can also pick up a wireless charging power bank (10,000mAh), coming in at 149 yuan (~$22). And if that’s not enough, Xiaomi is also selling a 20-watt wireless charger for your car, complete with a grip that automatically opens and closes when you reach for the charger. The car charger will retail for 169 yuan (~$25).
