First ever foldable smartphone to come with Snapdragon 855?

It was expected that Samsung would indeed become the first company ever to launcha foldable smartphone, and many kept on the belief that the Korean manufacturer would indeed become the first ever company to do so, until now. A relatively unknown Chinese company called Royole has completely taken the smartphone world by storm, as it went on to unveil a foldable smartphone commercial model in its home country of China – just days before Samsung had displayed its very own version, at the developer conference based in San Francisco. Accordingly enough, the Chinese company has now also officially listed the processor name on its website, as the device now goes on for sale.

So whether you believe it or not, Flexpai now becomes the first ever Snapdragon 855-toting smartphone that has now gone on for sale.

Atthe time of the launch, the company, Royole had actually refrained from the naming of the processor because of the fact that at that time, Qualcomm had not made the Snapdragon 855 official. However, even though there wasn’t actually any confirmation made, many had gotten the indication that it would indeed feature with Snapdragon’s latest and best chipset, because of the presence of the Adreno 640 as the GPU.

The Flexpai goes on to boast a 7.8 inch flexible AMOLED panel with the presence of a 1920 x 1440 resolution, plus a 4:3 aspect ratio. The phone will come with a camera combination of 16MP + 20MP, while there will be a 3800mAh battery integrated within the phone, to keep the lights running.

The phone will be coming in three variants – a 6 gigs RAM + 128 gigs of internal storage one, which by the way, will be priced at around $1304. The more luxurious variant, a one with 8 gigs of RAM + 256 gigs of storage will cost you $1449, and the most of luxurious and high end variant, which will come with 8 gigs of RAM and 512 gigs of internal storage, will be available for a massive price tag of $1884. According to officials, the Flexpai will begin shipping by the end of this year.
