HUAWEI GOES TO COURT AGAINST THE US GOVT

The Huawei-US GOVT battle seems to be going on for far too long, everyday there seems to be a story that makes the situation a lot more complicated. From banning US companies from any operations with the company, the US govt gave a 90-day notice for reprieval. However, Huawei seems to have enough about the situation and have filed motion in court stating that the Government’s ban on Huawei’s product is “unconstitutional”, stating that the govt did not give any major reason for the ban and have no evidence yet to prove the allegation of Huawei being a security threat to the US.

The company filed a motion in march wanting a quick summary as to whether the allegations are substantial enough to stand in court or not. Regarding this, Huawei’s Chief Officer had a few comments:

“The US government has provided no evidence to show that Huawei is a security threat. There is no gun, no smoke. Only speculation,” Huawei’s chief legal officer Song Liuping told reporters.

Huawei is the biggest supplier of telecommunication throughout the world and is second on the list of top smartphone companies list. These stats just show how influencial Huawei has become over the past decade as emphasized by the company as it states:

We have the capability to continue to provide our major products to customers including sales and services, our major products will not be affected these actions.”

Another company was stuck in a similar situation in which allegations led to the company being banned from conducting business in the US until a major fine was paid to the govt. This looks like extortion from the US Govt not letting companies from the outside nourish on their ground. Any company that does so, is apparently seen as a threat and is thereafter dealt with through unsupported allegations, however, with Huawei there could be a prolonged fight with a winner difficult to decide as of now.
