Huawei smartphones get an increase in price

After the huge increases in prices that we saw in the Samsung mobiles phones – in particularly, the Galaxy Note 9, now, another company has increased the prices of their smartphones too – specifically, Huawei Pakistan. However, to say that such a thing occurring was surprising would be wrong, because in all honesty, it was actually quite expected, due to the increased duty we have seen being imposed recently on the import of mobile phones.

And if the increase in the import duty isn’t enough, just consider the way the rupee market has been going with regards to the prices of the US dollar. The downswing that we have seen in the rupee when in comparison to the dollar in recent months has acted as a catalyst to the elevation of the mobile phone prices. And while most of the phone companies have indeed increased their prices in Pakistan, one that hasn’t is Meizu – as the smartphone company has actually decreased its phone prices, instead of increasing them.

Now, if you take a glimpse at the list that I’ve just shown you, you can quite easily see that it contains phones from pretty much all the price categories – not just the higher end, expensive ones. In the list you’ll find the budget Y3 2017 that has received a price bump, as well as Huawei’s latest flagship – the P20 Pro. And if such prices are anything to go by, then it’s quite easy to predict that the Huawei Mate 20 Pro too will come with a massive price tag attached with it.
