Karachi Green Line mass transit bus service will start its operations soon. This was revealed by the Governor Sindh Imran Ismail. The governor said that Imran Khan is aware of the problems that people of Karachi are facing right now. Regarding the Green Line, he said that bus will start its operations from February 7th of next year.
While answering a question he said, “Funds, as committed by federal government, are being released and presently formula is being finalized to materialize the mechanism,”
He also said that PC One and PC Two of Rapid Transport System for Karachi are in process and the federal government with its prior commitment has been releasing the funds for the projects.

He was talking to the reporters on Wednesday during his visit to the mausoleum of Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. He further affirmed to start new projects for Karachi by the Federal government. Governor Ismail also said that the bus service will have a provision for extension and fleet train service with flyovers and expansion of existing road network in Karachi.
In regards to the growing water shortage crisis in Karachi, he added that the K-4 project would meet the growing water needs for Karachi, the Sindh Governor said, final report about the arrangements would also soon be released.
The most populated metropolitan of Pakistan, Karachi has been facing severe problems of garbage, sanitation and water. Federal government is under pressure from the voters of Karachi to deliver. Regarding transport, Sindh government is planning to extend the metro bus lines in collaboration with World Bank.
