London: Women attacked for wearing Hijabs

So Police in London have released an image of a woman who they would like to bring in to questioning regarding a racially aggravated assault which has caused some very life threatening bruises as one victim has had broken ribs in the incident while the other woman faces internal bleeding from this racist clash.

Moreover,according to reports the two women were attacked somewhere around 5.30pm on 23 August as they roamed through the North Ealing underground station which is located in west London Moreover, the British Transport Police (BTP) have stated that the two women, one in her 60s and another in her 30s are suffering what seems to be verbal abuse for simply wearing a hijab which is a common practice by Muslim women.Following the disgusting confrontation these women were physically assaulted, leaving the elder of the two with potentially broken ribs and the younger victim with a black eye, bruising and internal bleeding.

Following the racist row the officers in charge of the have officially released an image which they got on CCTV of a woman they would like to speak to regarding the aggravated assault. It is keen to notice here that Hate crime in the UK capital have seen a rise in the last 10 years or so with reportedly 1,323 cases of Islamophobic hate crime reported across the city from July 2018 to 2019. In 2010 that number was only 350 so an overall rise of more than 350% over the course of 10 years which is very sad. In addition to that, there is a total of more than 5,680 cases of religious hate crime which have been reported in the UK from 2017 to 2018, with 52% of those relating to crimes against Muslims who were motivated to fight against the victim’s faith.
