New update for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ users

Good news for Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ users particularly a selfie lover is that, recently Samsung has released an update with camera improvements. Although it contains just one improvement, however that’s still a better number than zero, right?

Last month, a similar update for the Galaxy Note 9 was also released by the company, but for the Galaxy S9 software update, the improvements are targeting the front camera and some security patches.

Now you can take more refine selfies as new update will bring clear brightness of faces in environments with backlighting. I think it will make much of a difference for regular selfie taker. This update will help front camera to work great in dimly-lit environments.

Latest update also brings the October 2018 security patch, which was also pushed out for the Galaxy S8 recently. Moreover, this time changelog also mentions that “general stability of features” has been improved.

Well, if you have noticed that’s different wording from Samsung’s typical way of saying that features have been improved in each update, but that’s about it for the details we get.

For now, the new Galaxy S9 update is rolling out in Germany, with firmware version G960FXXU2BRJ3 and G965FXXU2BRJ3  for the S9 and S9+ respectively. The latest update weighs in at 244 MB download.

How to get this update?

All you need to do is to go the Settings and then click on the Software update menu on your phone. That’s it!
