PM KHAN SHOULD RECEIVE NOBEL PIECE PRIZE: MINISTER

What an extremely difficult these past few weeks have been for the Pakistani Nation as its immediate neighbour looked to initiate war. Starting from the Pulwama Incident, Indians reacted with outrageous measures to diplomatically and economically isolate and boycott Pakistan. This was followed by an LoC Violation that caused a peak in tensions across both borders. However, there was one who didn’t let himself be swayed away by the intensity of the situation and acted in the most mature manner possible, that was PM Khan.

His decision to release Wing Commander Abhinandan was applauded by people inside and out. To top it all off, there weren’t any pre-conditions attached to the release except it being a peace gesture from the Premier of Pakistan to de-escalate tensions between the two countries.  This move possibly averted a major war with the possibility of nuclear weaponry being used but due to some exceptional patient skills demonstrated by PM Khan, the situation was calmed down.

Following this decision, #nobelpeaceprizeforImran became a top trend on twitter as the whole world praised his efforts to bring peace in the region.

The next day, Federal Minister for Information, Fawad Chaudhry tabled a resolution in the National Assembly Secretariat

The draft of the resolution argued that the Prime Minister “played a sagacious role in de-escalating tensions between Pakistan and India.”

The war hysteria started by Indian leadership led the two arch-rivals to the brink of all-out conflict, the resolution stated. “India’s warmongering attitude put tens of millions of lives at stake,” it said.

The resolution added that the tense situation was de-escalated due to proactive and deft handling of the situation by PM Imran Khan.

Whether he wins it or not, it goes without saying that despite India still unsure about its stance on the matter with internal politics hindering the path to true cordial relations between the two nations, Pakistan, a nation associated with terrorism for far too long, has made a clear statement of peace.
