Samsung Galaxy Book 2 has a battery life of 20 hours!

The Samsung Galaxy Book 2 seems to be now official and will supposedly give competition to its fearsome competitor the Microsoft Surface Pro. The new Galaxy Book 2 is set to come along with a Qualcomm SoC this time around. The laptop is set to be two in one tablet and is going to come along with Samsung-signature S Pen and of course a keyboard and the laptop can do pretty much anything and everything you can expect it to do. However one of the big changes surrounding the Galaxy Book 2 is that the tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 850 which as most of you probably know is a mobile processor with great power efficiency.

Furthermore unlike the Galaxy Tab 4, this one is set to run Window’s software with the company’s objective being to shape the new model in to a portable business-oriented computer which is efficient for the working class of our generation. The previous Galaxy Book had a Intel Core m3 chipset so going from Intel to Qualcomm is a risk but I’m sure that the Snapdragon 850 will be compatible with the new model.

Moving on to the Display and Design of the Book 2. Well tablet designs are usually bland and the time spent of designs is at a minimum as these devices are actually made with ergonomics, portability and modern day technology kept in mind rather than what some people may call luxurious. They’re main purpose is basically commercial use and that it has to be a compact computer which can be taken and used at any place or time, whatever the situation demands. The new model has an aluminum body with a reattach-able keyboard which attaches at an angle for a better experience. Furthermore the keys of the new laptop have been designed in such a way that when pressed little or no sound is made which makes it pretty much a silent companion and in the process also provides a great typing experience. As for the display, Samsung have gone for the 12 inch AMOLED panel which has a resolution of 1440 x 2160 pixels.

The specifications and features are set to be the main highlights of the new model as the Galaxy book 2 as you know comes with a powerful Snapdragon 850 processor which supports super-fast LTE connectivity, something which is not present in any of the rivaling tablets and according to Samsung the LTE connectivity feature is really what the new device is based on which is made possible by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X20 modem. Another great feature is the high battery life it supports with Samsung claiming the new model will run up to 20 hours which is not possible through the Intel processors.

But as with all good things there is always going to be a catch, The tablet comes with a Windows 10 S software which is not the complete desktop version and the 20 hour battery life may only be possible on the original operating system that the Galaxy Book 2 comes along with but you do have the option of upgrading to the full version of Windows 10 for free but may have to sacrifice the amazing battery performance by some hours. Other features include a 4GB Ram and 128GB of internal memory. The good thing about the new model is that it has a headphone jack in addition with two type-C ports and you can also find micro SD card slot to increase to you desired storage level and the S-Pen comes along with the new the model so no need to buy it separately

In terms of price the new Book 2 is set to start pricing at $1000 which seems to be pushing it considering it is a convertible tablet or laptop or Tabtop whatever you may call it
