Snapdragon 730 powered phone soon to come from Xiaomi

Just a few days ago two new phones were announced by Redmi India – the Redmi Y3 and the Redmi 7. Now recently, Xiaomi India’s MD has gone on to reveal that an even more powerful phone is on its way sooner rather than later. The most exciting aspect of this upcoming phone is the fact that it will come equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 700 series – either the Snapdragon 730 or the Snapdragon 730G.

In a tweet posted recently, the MD of Xiaomi India shared the photo he took with two Qualcomm India executives. While he went on to talk a bit about the partnership between the two companies, he then also went on to tease the arrival of the Xiaomi phone.

This happens to be the only info which is revealed with regards to the phone – that it will come with the latest “Snapdragon 7_ _ (announced just 2 weeks ago)”. Both the Snapdragon 730 and the Snapdragon 730G are the two Snapdragon 700 chipsets which were released this month, hence one would have to imagine that it’s either one or the other. Though many believe that it will indeed be the Snapdragon 730.

More or less a week ago, some of the key specs of a Redmi phone were leaked. The leak went on to reveal that the phone in question will come packed with the Snapdragon 730 processer, will come with a 4000mAh battery, and will feature with a triple camera setup (48MP + 8MP + 13MP). It is quite possible that this is the same device which is set on its way to India – however, it may launch in China first. At this moment of time, there happens to be no info present over what name this device will carry, however, there are strong suggestions that the phone will launch in India as a Mi phone and not a Redmi phone.

It might end up being the Mi A3 Android phone. While there happens to be no specific date for the launch of the phone yet, it won’t at all be surprising to see if Xiaomi goes on to announce its very next Android One phone a little earlier this year.
