23 Million E-Challans system have been issued in just one year’s time

So it seems that the new E-challan system has been nothing less than a success as per the latest stat given to us by the Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA).Moreover they have now completed one year of e-challaning through cameras in the provincial capital, these cameras were so far installed for two main reasons, one to stop people from running a red light on a traffic signal and the other reason was to stop people from over speeding. Both reasons are taken very seriously by the traffic police of Punjab and hence it was important to have a fool proof system which can at least limit the drivers from carrying out these acts. All of these plans were there to limit the number of road accident occurrences over the years and with the new system implemented and to have completed one year in service, it has been found that more than 23 million electronic challans have been issued by the authority during first year of implementation.
