Apple releases smaller updates for tvOS and watchOS alongside the beta version of iOS 11.3

Apple has released a beta version of its iOS 11.3 operating system so that the users can know battery health and get recommended if a battery needs to be serviced. It will also let the users see if the power management feature that prevents unexpected shutdowns is on and they can choose to turn it off.

To get that kind of adjustment  you can go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health (beta). This feature is  available for iPhone 6 and later. Users can also disable performance throttling on older iPhones with aged batteries and the company calls it a beta feature. iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be showing this feature.

Having entered the Battery Health mode, you will see two things, namely Maximum Capacity & Peak Performance Capability.

To see the physics behind ageing batteries Apple has linked a webpage for you, and the company say that Maximum Capacity is a measure of the battery capacity relative to when it was new.

Peak performance capability will show you a message, “Your battery is currently supporting normal peak performance” if you are using newer iPhones, where the phone hasn’t shut down due to lower battery capacity.
