Both the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro announced in China

The most recent news surrounding Redmi concerns with the company having unveiled both the Redmi Note 8 and the Note 8 Pro with a launch event taking place in China. Both these devices come with beefed up specs when taken into comparison with the predecessors : the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Without doubt one of the main selling points of the Note 8 series is that it comes equipped with four cameras present on the rear. Furthermore, the Redmi Note 8 has also made its way into the smartphone market as being the world’s first smartphone to feature with a 64MP camera. The Redmi Note 8 isn’t too far behind on its own – as the device comes with a 48MP sony IMX586 lens.

The Redmi Note 8 features with an IP52 splash resistant body. The phone comes equipped with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display and also features with a waterdrop notch. The device supports full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The TUV Rheinland certification that is present for the display ensures that users are not on the receiving end of harmful blue rays. Both the front as well as the back side of the device is safeguarded by Gorilla Glass 5 panel. Also, as a consequence of the reduced chin, the Redmi Note 8 Pro also goes on to offer a screen space of 91.4 percent.

The device gets its juice from the Media Tek Helio G90T processor. Along with this, the phone features with either six or eights gigs of RAM. To go along with the RAM come either the 64GB or 128GB internal storage variants – both of which also have the option over expandable storage via a dedicated microSD card slot.

As far as the Redmi Note 8 goes, the phone comes with basically the same-sized waterdrop notch enabled display that happens to be present on the Note 8 Pro. It also goes on to wear splash proof body with Gorilla Glass 5 panels being present on both the sides. As far as the chin of the device is concerned – it is a bit thick – and it carries the ‘Redmi’ brand name. However, Redmi has claimed that it offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent.
