Indian Air Force (IAF) Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman has been transported to Wagah Border as his return to his country proceeds. The return was a peace gesture on behalf of PM Khan to enable the border-sharing countries to sort the matter out with peace and calm.

Related documents and customs have been reportedly fulfilled by the International Committee of Red Cross including a medical examination.

Following this development, India has cancelled the flag-lowering ceremony.

While in captivity, the IAF pilot was treated with respect and dignity by the Pakistani armed forces, a fact that the captured pilot acknowledged in a video released by the ISPR.
