MUSTAFA KAMAL TAKES CHARGE OF CLEANING KARACHI PROJECT

In a surprise turn of events, MQM’s senior Leader Wasim Akhtar has given the charge of the project of cleaning Karachi to arch nemesis Mustafa Kamal and he was accepted the challenge gracefully. Mustafa Kamal further vowed to keep everyone on their toes while he progresses in his project of cleaning entire Karachi.

This past month has seen Karachi become a nuisance of a place because of heavy rainfalls in the region and no system for drainage with massive tons of waste lying around added fuel to the fire. This led to the deaths of many people and a spread of deadly diseases making parts of Karachi unlivable. Lack of proper management by senior officials has led to a disastrous situation in Karachi with no way to dispose off waste in the city. The biggest city of Pakistan is now facing the wrath of a lot of years of procrastination on the part of senior management and the results have been no less than gruesome.

The aftermath of monsoon rains saw Karachi flooded and that’s when the blame game started between MQM, PSP and PPP. Each party blamed the other for not playing their parts, not realizing that they were collectively at fault. There was a need of a single figure making quick decisions to get Karachi out of the mess that it is currently in, and that’s exactly what has happened now, but not in the way that we would have thought. Assigning an opposition leader for a project that you should be taking care of is a rather rare event, but Waseem Akhtar has challenged Mustafa Kamal to clean Karachi and the temporary appointment, which is to last for 90 days, would require Mustafa Kamal to head the management for a proper waste disposal system. The letter by Wasim Akhtar was worded the following way

In the light of the statement made and reported in electronic and print media that Syed Mustafa Kamal has shown his willingness to clean the city of Karachi within 90 days, I being mayor of Karachi, hereby designate Syed Mustafa Kamal as project director for garbage on voluntary basis with immediate effect and until further orders
