How new feature of Google Assistance will shape the realistic approach to future. In today’s business world, it’s quite common to set up a bot/robot to answer your question or phone that redirects you to a human operator or processes your request. Getting a step ahead, Google has unveiled an astonishing new AI of Google Assistance at the Google I/O 2018 which is capable of making real calls and interacts with real people over the phone, without them finding out.

The main objective behind this move is to change that old bot system with a new AI feature of the Google Assistant that is talented to naturally communicate with real humans. Yes, you heard right, with real humans over the phone and carry out user chores like setting appointments with barber or reservation for dinner.

The new feature is called Google Duplex, it will help users to ask for opening hours or make appointments in restaurants by just instructing Google Assistant to do it for them. It uses natural human-like language which makes it even more reliable because it does not sound like an eerie, tuneful robot.

Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai showed and verified its abilities through recordings of real calls made by the Google Assistant at Google I/O 2018.

During the calls, the persons on the other side of the phone did not even detect they were talking to an AI. It act and talks casually just like humans like using “hmm’s” and “uh’s” while processing a complex sentence.

In addition, it is also capable to successfully handle complex situations even manage the situations where cognitive decision making is required.

Approximately Fully Autonomous

According to Google, most of its tasks are carried out fully autonomously, with nearly zero involvement from the company. However, if it finds a task too complex or unexpected to manage, it has a “panic button feature” to signal a human operator.

On the other hand, as the new Ai feature is still under development, so there’s still some time before it officially rolls out for public use.

A glimpse of how future of AI is bright?

It seems that future of Artificial Intelligence will no more artificial.  Upcoming technologies like Google Duplex are built to sound natural, to make the conversation experience comfortable and near to reality. Hence, we’ll be experimenting with the proper approach over the coming months.
