PS5 to be much faster than the new Xbox Series X?

Both Sony’s flagship console in the Playstation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series will be incredibly fast and powerful machines – in fact, they will be much more powerful than anything showcased in the past – as far as home consoles go. AMD happens to be in charge of providing similar Zen 2 processors and Radeon Navi graphics cards for both the consoles, and also, it goes without saying but both will also feature with fast solid-state drives as well. Now though, a new leak has just suggested that the PS5 might have a very big advantage over its rival in the Xbox – as far as storage is concerned.

Leaks are now suggesting that the upcoming PS5 will actually be sandwiched between the Xbox One X and the One S successors – when taking into consideration the price. However, a different report followed up by saying that the Xbox would actually deliver better graphics when compared with the new Playstation, which in turn would have better graphics than Xbox Lockhart (the more cheaper model). And while none of such is confirmed, it does make quite a lot of sense.

Now though, back onto the previous leak, which suggests that the Xbox would be inferior to the Playstation when the storage units are compared. While all three of the consoles are indeed expected to arrive with SSDs, not all SSDs happen to be made equally. Sony has also actually teased the performance of the PS5’s storage, saying that loading times will disappear due to the unprecedented speed of the company’s custom SSD. However, when it came to raw power – Sony never confirmed what should be expected.

Regardless of such rumors though, the next Xbox models should comfortably be ahead of the previous-gen consoles that came with spinning HDDs. While we’re not exactly sure of when the launch will take place for either of the two, consider the fact that Sony is expected to host a Playstation meeting next month – where it will probably unveil the PS5.
