Samsung Really Seems to be Taking its Mid-Range A Series Seriously

In the latest round of firmware updates, Samsung is going on to introduce a wide variety of camera features for both its Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 smartphones. While a number of pre-installed apps will indeed be on the receiving end of some tweaks, it will in fact be the camera app that sees the most extensive changes.

Both these two devices belonging to the Korean manufacturer’s A-series will now feature with a Pro camera mode – in the same vein as the flagship Galaxy S20 series. This pro mode means that users of the two devices will now be able to manually adjust focus as well as shutter speed and also happens to be a boon for those who want more intricate control of their camera hardware.

Also, Single Take will be making its way onto both the devices. Single Take has the capabilities to automatically record video and also captures stills with filters. Other features such as Night Hyperlapse and My Filters will also end up making the cut.

The update is without doubt a very welcome one for all those who are looking to indulge in the mid-range series of smartphones that Samsung has on offer, and is also a major sign that the Korean company is in fact serious about filtering down flagship photography features to some of its more cheaper devices.

Even though the Galaxy A51 and the Galaxy A71 don’t have the same camera hardware on offer as the Galaxy S20 Ultra, both the devices are still very capable. The A51 features with a 48MP primary camera along with a 12MP ultra-wide snapper and a 5MP macro camera and also a 5MP depth sensor. The Galaxy A71 on the other hand features with a similar lineup however, the main attraction here is in the form of a 64MP snapper instead of the 48MP one.
