Ufone CEO leaving the post, Rashid Khan will take charge

Having completed the one year tenure and working additionally more for 6 months as a CEO of Ufone, Rainer Rathgeber is going to leave the post for another one to let the new comer show either Rainer Rathgeber had been a good CEO or not? Rashid Khan will be joining Ufone as temporary CEO our sources confirmed.

Last year in February Ufone had changed its top management by replacing its CEO Abdul Aziz with a foreign CEO Rainer Rathgeber and now after almost 18 months’ period,  as the 14th August approaches, Ufone is all set to undergo another change.

According to our reliable sources,  it is confirmed that a Ufone board member,  who has been a Mobilinker previously is going to take charge as a temporary CEO after 14th August.

According to Saghir Wattoo, an official spokesperson of the Ministry of IT&T,

“Rainer Rathgeber’s tenure has been expired. He had joined the Ufone for a period of one year and later his period was extended to another six months”.

 Saghir Wattoo also confirmed that,

“Mr. Rashid Khan is the new temporary CEO of the company for a period of 3 to 6 months, and during this period he will restructure the company as per guidance from the board”.

Ufone is sitting at number four position with 18 million cellular subscribers have 4.9 million 3G customers under its belt.

The company has been facing tough competition from much stronger rivals who are equipped with 4G technology. Though the company has been eaten up entirely, it tries its level best to comfort its customers with the help of cost cutting measures and up-gradation of its 3G technology.

Ufone has also improved its services with the help of improved products like Supercard which takes the charge for some 40% of company’s revenue.

In the future,  what type of changes Ufone will undergo?

Only the time will answer exactly. However, we mustn’t deny the fact that if a company steps forward with diverse staff, it means something better is planned for future.
