UHS conducted MDCAT test – Result for the test will be officially announced within a week

On 20th August 2017, 65,155 students appeared in the MCAT  test, the test was conducted by the University of Health Science Lahore, simultaneously, and vigilantly, under great security, in  13 cities of Punjab, Pakistan.
In 28 centers, spreading across Lahore, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, DG Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi, Sialkot and Hassan Abdal, the test was conducted under the strict measures to ensure the integrity of the exam.
Result for the test will be officially announced within a week.
Strict Measures:
Closed-circuit  (CCTV ) cameras and more than 5500 invigilators were present to ensure the integrity of the exam, while the major centers were also equipped with mobile phone jammers and walkthrough gates.
Police personnel and fire brigades were also deployed at the centers along with the back up provided by the generators, proper arrangements for the disabled students, proper parking and waiting areas for the parent.
The test was monitored by the senior bureaucrats and govt officers, under the direction of the chief minister. VC of UHS, Prof Dr. Junaid Sarfraz Khan, visited several centers and monitored the arrangements in Lahore.
Any mishap or accident during is the test is not reported.
Seat Allocation
There are a total of 5,995 MBBS, 771 BDS seats in public and private colleges of Punjab for students undertaking MDCAT among 3,405 MBBS seats in 17 public sector medical colleges in Punjab, 216 BDS seats in three public dental colleges of the Punjab, 2,590 MBBS in 21 private sector medical colleges affiliated with UHS, 555 BDS seats in nine dental colleges affiliated with UHS.
Result for the test will be officially announced within a week.
Students securing a minimum of 84% marks will be able to apply from 4 October to 14 October,  to colleges based on merit. Scores will be calculated based on the criteria formulated by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
For medical/dental colleges, the first selection list will be displayed on October 30, and classes in medical colleges will commence on November 13.
