Facebook is reportedly promoting fake news in its News Feed

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg recently announced big changes in Facebook’s News Feed. Facebook’s continuous experimentation with the content of the News Feed is boosting posts that promote fake news, reports The New York Times.

The social networking site is as of now testing a new feature that isolates users’ posts from content from proficient news sites.

News stories are rather put in a different feed called ‘Explore’, which is being tried in Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Bolivia, Guatemala, Serbia and other Asian countries.

As indicated by the NYT, one false story that spread on Facebook in Slovakia due to these progressions was about a Muslim man who evidently said thanks to somebody for restoring his lost wallet by notice them about an arranged fear based oppressor assault.
