Highly likely that Shadab Khan will miss the first test against Australia

Pakistani leg spinner, Shadab Khan, who it seems has become an integral part of the Pakistani cricket squad in recent times, is very likely to miss the first test coming up against Australia, after he failed to fully recover from a groin injury he suffered not so long ago – back in the Asia Cup.

Latest reports surfacing from ESPN cricinfo seem to suggest that it is highly probable that Shadab Khan will not at all feature in the first test match against Australia, however, the good news for him is that there is a two-match test series to be held in Dubai, and the team management is quite hopeful that the leg spinner will be fit for the second test, which is scheduled to take place on Abu Dhabi.

Now what many were wondering was exactly who would replace Shadab Khan, because Pakistan as a team isn’t actually full of leg spinners just at the moment, and as it seems, the PCB has set its eyes out at Bilal Asif, as the 33 year old spinner looks set to make his debut, replacing Shadab in the process.

The first test between the Pakistani Cricket team and the Australian cricket team is set to begin no further than the 7th of October, and it is set to take place at the Dubai International Stadium.
