HUAWEI MATE 30 G-APPS WORKAROUND DOESN’T WORK ANYMORE!

Huawei Mate 30 was one of the most anticipated devices of the year until the US ban forced Huawei to use an alternative which was not Google. Taking away the software that forms the basis of people buying smartphones, and you have a very different smartphone to sell. Google was not allowed to pair android up with Huawei and Huawei quickly needed a way to maintain the crazy progress rate it had previously.

However, the agreement that was made that even though Huawei would be using Android 10 in its latest smartphone, the Google apps like the play store wont be working on the device. This was a massive shock to everyone excited about the Mate 30. It was a huge party spoiler. But here’s the thing with Android. It is an open source project which means that developers can always figure a way out, only companies cant, because they are abided by the law. So it wasn’t a whole lot later when the G-apps hack came online and people could now install all the Google Apps they wanted. It was risky but people craving for the experience went ahead even though Huawei had assured that as soon as the situation with US is eased up it will not take more than a day to get the G-Apps rolling on all Mate 30 devices.

Reports of sales in China have been surprisingly positive but one thing has changed. The little hack that people were using, isn’t working anymore. The website hosting the apps and any related software cannot be accessed anymore. The cause being the explanation being uploaded on a website which was then either taken down by the website host provider AliBaba or the developers themselves. But this might be the thing that stops people from buying Huawei Mate 30. Is it the beginning of the end for Huawei?
