Microsoft’s CEO mocks iPad users ‘get a real computer’

Microsoft’s CEO mocks iPad users Being an iPhone user you really know the struggle and defensive approach against Samsung users. Well, many times we encounter clashes between users of these two companies. Although both companies have their own specialties and USPs but still users from both sides don’t miss a chance to mock at each other.

Recently we have witnessed another event as Satya Nadela Microsoft’s CEO visited India and while seeing two journalists using iPad, he joyfully recommended them to obtain a real computer.

This comes a week after the ad in which Samsung make fun of Apple users and suggested them to grow up and upgrade to Galaxy.

To promote his new book Nadela is visiting different countries around the globe “Hit Refresh, The Quest to Rediscover Microsoft’s Soul and Image a Better Future for everyone.” Satya Nadela efforts are admirable in improving the company’s profits since past couple of years.

Nadella expressed his feelings joyfully, in recent times when he spotted a couple of journalists using iPad tablets, just before the keynote he was going to deliver at the India Today Next Conclave.

When Nadella entered the room beside Anant Maheshwari Microsoft India’s Country Manager, he turned to one of the journalists and said cheerfully, “You need to get a real computer, my friend.”

It is pretty understandable that Microsoft and Apple operate in diverse markets. In a way, Microsoft is to discover itself in a new and modern era of computing, and part of the process means facing some hard truths.

Nadela shared his thought and said,

“We are very different companies. We are a tool creator; we are not a luxury goods manufacturer. That’s not who we are. We are about creating technologies so that others can build.”

‘Luxury good manufacturer’, this would certainly have tweaked Apple. This comes as a response to Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, Phil Schiller, who last year exclaimed that using an old PC is “really sad.”

In terms of smartphones manufacturing, Microsoft should have known that they can’t beat Apple and Google as they faced a breakdown by acquiring Nokia.

However, when it comes to computing on a PC, then they can be confident and they knew that is a domain in which Microsoft is still extremely positive.
