Be warned! Your metallic room partner could murder you

Be warned! Your metallic room partner could murder you. According to the warnings by a cyber security expert, sex robots are likely to be hacked and used to even murder people If the hacker wants to get you killed.

The security risks posed by internet connected robots have been consistently being warned by the Artificial intelligence researchers. They have also warned about the weaponized robots and called governments to ban them.

Recently, a cybersecurity expert has warned the world by making the prophecy to several U.K. newspapers.

Warning by Nicholas Patterson (a cybersecurity lecturer at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia) reads,  hackers are able to hack into a robot or a robotic device and they have full control of the connections, arms, legs & other attached tools such as in some cases knives or welding devices.

He also adds that often sex robots can be upwards of 200 pounds and strong enough. Once a robo is hacked, the hacker gains full control over it and can issue instructions to the it, and the very last thing you want is for a hacker to have control over one of these metallic bodies. Once they are hacked they could absolutely be used to perform physical actions for an advantageous scenario or to cause damage to someone.

Already, the researchers have discovered security flaws with Bluetooth-enabled sex toys, which could be controlled by hackers via remote locations. One such kind of example, is a vulnerable butt plug, that was revealed last year.

last year, xperts wrote a commentary for the scientific journal Nature. This commentary  outlined a scenario in which rogue artificial intelligence could hijack a brain-computer interface. In such kind of situation, thoughts, decisions and emotions of a person could be taken over by AI and manipulated against the  will of the owner.

Hackers, beinb able to take control of, sent vibrate commands to the Hush butt plug last year.

A hypothetical example of the way such a scenario might play out, per the authors of the piece, would be if some paralyzed man utilizing a brain-computer interface took a dislike to someone. That could be misinterpreted in a way to harm that person through vibrant commands even if no direct order is given.

“Technological developments mean that we are on a path to a world in which it will be possible to decode people’s mental processes and directly manipulate the brain mechanisms underlying their intentions, emotions and decisions; where individuals can communicate with others simply by thinking; and where powerful computational systems linked directly to people’s brains facilitate their interactions with the world such that their mental and physical abilities are greatly enhanced,” wrote the researchers.

The possible clinical & societal benefits of neuro technologies are very vast. To reap them, we have to necessarily guide their development in a way that respects, protects & enables what is best in humanity.
